UNESCO Representative for the Gulf States Visits Arrowad Group in Riyadh

The two parties discuss collaborative work and support for sustainable development in the region.

Riyadh, 5 Rabi' Al-Akhir 1444 H, corresponding to October 30th, 2022

Mr. Salah Khaled, the UNESCO Representative for the Gulf States and Yemen, visited the headquarters of Arrowad Global Group in Riyadh, he was accompanied by Mr. Rasoul Samadov, Program Specialist in the Culture Sector of the office, and Ms. Jaudah Mansour, Program Assistant in the Culture Sector, and during the visit, the delegation, including Dr. Saad bin Ibrahim Al Khalaf, Founding Partner and Vice Chairman of the Group's Board, met with the Group's consulting team,
And during the meeting, the two parties discussed common avenues for collaboration and the framework for future cooperation between the organization and the group, expressing their readiness to commit to joint efforts in achieving sustainable development goals in the region, the discussion also covered the general framework for projects within the office in the region, leveraging the significant experience of the group in shaping and empowering societal values, supporting education, and human development.

It is worth noting that the UNESCO Office for the Gulf States and Yemen has been covering its work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates since 1976, and in late 2009, its scope of work was extended to include the Republic of Yemen. The office contributes to sustainable human development through supporting education, science, culture, communication, and information. This is achieved within a close partnership with member states, the private sector, and civil society.
